Jonathan Todd is Vice Chair of the Transportation & Logistics Practice at Benesch. His entire career has focused on transportation, logistics, warehousing, and international trade matters.
Jonathan portfolio of experience includes industry mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and negotiating of all forms, government license and permit management, business operations counsel, new business lines, new market entry, risk management, regulatory compliance counsel and enforcement defense, claims, and dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Benesch, Jonathan was in-house counsel with a large motor carrier and global logistics provider. He gained practical real-world operations counsel experience across the company’s carrier, broker, IAC, NVOCC, and CHB operations. Representing industry interests has always been close to his heart. He has served on federal advisory committees and councils by appointment of the Transportation Secretary, Commerce Secretary, TSA Administrator, and Ohio Governor. Along the way he received a graduate degree in supply chain management, a certificate in international law, a customs broker license, and a fellow designation from the Association for Supply Chain Management.
Benesch’s National Band 1 ranked Transportation & Logistics Practice Group also holds the title of national “Law Firm of The Year” in Transportation Law for 2025, the seventh award of that title in ten years.
