Todd Gray
Managing Partner, Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP

Todd Gray is the managing partner of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office, and also a chair of the Transportation Practice of Lewis Brisbois. He is editor of the firm’s Transportations Law Update. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky; however, his practice regularly spans most of the United States. In recent years, Mr. Gray’s practice has focused exclusively on Transportation, including catastrophic trucking accidents. These cases often carry eight and nine-figure exposure, and place him in notoriously unfriendly venues against some of the most successful lawyers in the country. He is choice counsel for many private trucking companies and excess insurance carriers insuring motor carriers, freight brokers, and truck owners. Mr. Gray began his career successfully defending many healthcare providers. At one point early in his career, Mr. Gray successfully defended back-to-back medical malpractice cases at trial within a 30-day period, where each involved ventilator-dependent quadriplegic plaintiffs. He also successfully defending manufacturers of all types of products including automobiles. For example, Mr. Gray has successfully defended two of the “Big Three” automotive manufacturers at trial on multiple occasions. It was this trial experience that resulted in his induction into ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates), and inclusion into Lewis Brisbois' National Trial Practice Group.
