Senior Account Executive, Aon Transportation and Logistics Practice
Leigh Anne Battersby, J.D. is a Senior Account Executive for Aon’s Transportation and Logistics Practice, where she is responsible for assisting Aon’s trucking and logistics clients to identify and mitigate risks and for ensuring delivery of all appropriate resources and solutions. Prior to joining Aon in March 2020, Leigh Anne spent the majority of her legal career in the transportation industry in a variety of legal, risk and claims positions. After graduating from Duke School of Law in 1992, Leigh Anne spent five years in the private practice of law, primarily in the areas of labor and employment, insurance defense, and transportation. In 1997, she went to work for her former client U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. and its subsidiary U.S. Xpress, Inc., one of the top five asset-based trucking companies in the United States. She served U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. in a variety of positions, spending 16 years as its Vice President of Risk Management from 2001 to 2017 and most recently as Executive Vice President, Corporate General Counsel and Secretary for U.S. Xpress Enterprises from 2017 until 2020, where she was part of the leadership team that successfully completed the company’s initial public offering in June 2018. Leigh Anne has specialized throughout her career in managing and resolving complex, multi-million-dollar litigation, as well as implementing creative risk structures to address the ever-changing trucking industry.
