Mr. Billingslea is Senior Vice President, Secretary and Chief Legal Officer of Lynden Incorporated, a multi-modal transportation company based in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, with worldwide operations (www.lynden.com). Prior to joining Lynden in 2003, Mr. Billingslea served for six years as General Counsel for Washington Governor Gary Locke. He began his law practice with the firm of Bogle & Gates in Anchorage, Alaska after a clerkship in the Alaska courts. He has served on numerous boards and commissions in Washington and Alaska, including the Washington Law Enforcement Medal of Honor Committee, the Washington News Council, the Washington Trucking Association, the Eleanor & Henry Jansen Foundation, and Seattle Mayor-elect Bruce Harrell’s transition team. Mr. Billingslea earned an A.B. in Chemistry from Bowdoin College in 1983, and his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Santa Clara University in 1988. He was born and raised in Alaska and currently resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife, Mimi Gan. They have two adult daughters. In his spare time he enjoys ultramarathon trail running, yoga, skiing and traveling.
